What is Unreal-MCP?
Unreal-MCP is an AI game development assistant for Unreal Engine, connecting the Unreal Editor to an AI agent through the MCP plugin, .NET bridging, and unreal-cli to perform project operations. This plugin exposes Unreal Editor operations as AI tools and connects via ai-game.dev or a local MCP server.
Unreal-MCP is the Unreal Engine counterpart of Unity-MCP and Godot-MCP, connecting to MCP servers via the same cloud backend (ai-game.dev) or using a locally self-hosted server. Since Unreal Editor is C++, the .NET MCP host runs as an automatically managed side process (unreal-mcp-bridge).
