What is scribe?
scribe is a single-binary CLI tool that creates and maintains a personal knowledge base written by an LLM. It continuously extracts reusable knowledge from your git repositories, coding agent sessions (indexed by ccrider), iMessage bookmarks, and local files, then compiles it into a curated wiki indexed by qmd for semantic search.
scribe is not a second brain, but rather a personal context corpus that can survive across projects and almost never reads KB directly. Claude Code and Codex read KB in each session, and humans consume answers at the end of the pipeline, rather than navigating the graph.
Key features
scribe implements the LLM wikipedia mode described by Andrej Karpathy, preserving the original source and compiling a structured wikipedia on top, both searchable.
KB is a private git repository that you own, scribe init builds it from an embedded template, and you can choose the KB name, domain, owner context, and capture handle.
