What is platform-skills?
Platform Skills is a production-grade handbook for platform, DevOps, SRE, and cloud engineers, covering Kubernetes, Flux CD, Terraform, GitHub Actions, AWS, OPA/Rego, KEDA, Karpenter, supply chain security, Falco, observability, and more. It can be used on GitHub, as a local reference, or combined with Claude, Codex, Cursor, and Copilot to get interactive guidance.
This handbook helps engineers avoid common mistakes when using existing tools by converting the hard-earned lessons repeatedly discovered by the platform team into reusable guidance, such as unclear ownership, unsafe IAM, weak Kubernetes defaults, drifting GitOps overrides, CI checks that run too late, and rollback plans that only appear after events occur.
Key features
Provides 51 slash commands (such as /platform-skills:preflight, /platform-skills:kubernetes, /platform-skills:secrets, etc.), supporting interactive guidance.
Supports the GitHub Copilot plugin, and interactive slash commands can be used in Copilot Chat.
