What is noodle?
Noodle is an open-source terminal REST client that allows users to write, send, inspect, and automate HTTP requests through readable files, without leaving the terminal. It saves each collection version with the code, and works with TUI, CLI, scripts, and coding agents.
Noodle supports multiple installation methods, including Homebrew and standalone installation scripts. It provides file-based collections, request editor, response inspection, image and download previews, environment and secret management, authentication, proxy and TLS configuration, response assertions, script testing, response capture, script writing, body templates, collection runner and automation, response history, and theme and keyboard shortcut customization features.
Key features
File-based collection: Keep requests in YAML, organize them into folders, and version control them with Git.
Request Editor: Edit URLs, parameters, headers, JSON, XML, forms, and file uploads in the terminal.
Response inspection: Explore the source code or visual view of JSON and XML, use JSONPath to filter JSON, and check headers and network tracking.
