What is Reading Coach?
Reading Coach is designed for learners who can already recognize words and wish to continue practicing reading aloud. Users can create stories by selecting characters, settings, and reading levels, or they can read ReadWorks–aligned texts or add their own content, aligning practice with their interests and abilities.
During the reading process, the tool analyzes reading performance and provides feedback on accuracy, reading speed, and time taken, while also scheduling practice for more challenging words. Achievements and story elements can be used for ongoing practice, rather than just providing a single score.
It is available for both home and classroom use, requires a corresponding Microsoft account, and school accounts may also be subject to organization‑enabled settings. The language‑settings documentation has been updated to include multiple languages and regions, but the scope of support for the interface, stories, pasted text, and pronunciation exercises should be confirmed separately; this does not imply that all features are consistently available across every language.
