What is BigModel?
BigModel makes Zhipu’s model capabilities available to developers via an open API. The official documentation states that it supports standard HTTP APIs, multiple programming languages, and SDKs, and provides call examples and a “Try it” debugging portal in the API details.
When integrating, you must first select the model and service type, create the corresponding API key, and then configure the authentication details, endpoint, and request parameters. The official implementation uses Bearer authentication; keys for Personal plans, Team plans, and Standard Model APIs are managed separately, so you cannot assume interoperability across different types.
The GLM encoding package uses a dedicated Coding endpoint, which differs from the access method for general-purpose model services. The available models, rates, contexts, and pricing should be checked according to the selected product; the promotional trial link does not imply that all models are permanently free or unlimited.
