What is Hachi?
Hachi™ is an AI assistant designed specifically for children, developed by a team of parents to guide kids in exploring the world in a safe, engaging, and age-appropriate manner. It requires no registration, does not track data, and features no intrusive ads. Through voice interaction, it sparks children’s curiosity while enabling parents to participate in real-life conversations and learning experiences. The product emphasizes local processing, privacy protection, and the value of parent–child co-learning, and has already been developed in Cape Town.
Key features
Voice Control: No typing required—children simply press and hold the microphone button to ask questions aloud, and Hachi™ will instantly read out and display age-appropriate answers. It supports everyday science-related queries such as “What are eyes made of?” or “What kind of plastic is used in LEGO?”
Parental Controls: Provides device-side logs and topic tags, allowing parents to review their child’s questions. Parents can also set daily limits on the number of questions, enabling proactive management of usage time and frequency.
