arXiv:2611.03652v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Lifelong (continual) anomaly detection systems must learn a sequence of tasks without forgetting how to recognize anomaly types seen earlier -- a property known as backward transfer. A common way to try to improve backward transfer is to reshape a model's internal representation around learnable concept centroids, typically coupled with a new way of scoring anomalies based on distance to those centroids. Because these two design choices are usually introduced together, it is unclear which one is actually responsible for any performance gain. In this paper, we unbundle the two mechanisms within a VAE-based lifelong anomaly detector and study them separately. We find that used purely as a training-time regularizer -- while leaving anomaly scoring unchanged -- latent cluster separation can improve detection quality and backward transfer, though whether it outperforms the alternative scoring approach depends on the dataset's underlying representation. Switching to distance-based scoring is instead where most of the instability commonly associated with this class of method actually originates; we identify and explain the underlying mechanism. This benefit depends on the dataset's underlying representation, and we report this as practical guidance for choosing between the two design choices, rather than as a list of caveats.

arXiv:2611.03685v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Visual agents need to coordinate reasoning and action while their environment evolves during inference. We introduce LOLPlay, a benchmark in native \emph{League of Legends} with 36 champion-specific tasks spanning resource management, combat, cooperation, and objectives. Agents interact through screenshots and mouse--keyboard actions; automated initialization and 82 executable subgoal checks distinguish partial progress from completion. Across 324 task evaluations of three models at three reasoning-effort settings, GPT-6 Astra achieves the highest task success rate of 25.0\% at low and medium effort, and the highest subgoal success rate of 40.3\% at medium effort. However, high effort improves neither metric over low effort for any model. For Astra, longer requests leave fewer interaction rounds, suggesting a cost to additional reasoning in real-time control. Trajectories reveal incomplete subgoal composition and actions executing after the observed scene changes, motivating agents that combine visual reasoning with timely action.
arXiv:2611.03662v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: The Model Context Protocol (MCP) connects large language model agents to external tools and services through official SDKs that implement message validation and session logic. Specification constraints omitted by these SDKs may propagate to downstream applications, highlighting the importance of SDK-level conformance testing. Yet existing MCP conformance tools mainly exercise running endpoints and reveal little about whether SDK models enforce specification requirements. We present MCPGuard, an automated LLM-based framework for detecting specification-to-SDK conformance gaps. Its structural track aligns JSON Schema constraints with normalized SDK models and produces constraint-specific evidence. Its behavioral track extracts normative prose rules, retrieves bounded function-level slices, and audits them with LLMs for candidate omissions. An evidence-aware dynamic adjudicator then inspects complete source context and builds PoCs to validate candidates. A shared kernel with language-specific adapters enables analysis across SDKs. On the official Python 1.26.0 and TypeScript 1.29.0 SDKs, MCPGuard confirms 13 and 19 findings, respectively, none of which are exposed by two black-box baselines. Tests on open MCP servers further show that these gaps can systematically propagate downstream. By making SDK conformance of specification constraints directly testable, MCPGuard complements conventional endpoint-oriented conformance suites.

Tech Report HuggingFace ModelScope Qwen Chat HuggingFace Demo ModelScope Demo DISCORD Introduction Two months after upgrading Qwen2.5-Turbo to support context length up to one million tokens, we are back with the open-source Qwen2.5-1M models and the corresponding inference framework support. Here’s what you can expect from this release: Opensource Models: We’re releasing two new checkpoints, Qwen2.5-7B-Instruct-1M and Qwen2.5-14B-Instruct-1M, marking the first time we’ve upgraded our opensource Qwen models to handle 1M-token contexts.
GITHUB HUGGING FACE MODELSCOPE DEMO DISCORD Introduction In the past three months since Qwen2’s release, numerous developers have built new models on the Qwen2 language models, providing us with valuable feedback. During this period, we have focused on creating smarter and more knowledgeable language models. Today, we are excited to introduce the latest addition to the Qwen family: Qwen2.5. We are announcing what might be the largest opensource release in history!
QWEN CHAT API DEMO DISCORD It is widely recognized that continuously scaling both data size and model size can lead to significant improvements in model intelligence. However, the research and industry community has limited experience in effectively scaling extremely large models, whether they are dense or Mixture-of-Expert (MoE) models. Many critical details regarding this scaling process were only disclosed with the recent release of DeepSeek V3. Concurrently, we are developing Qwen2.

arXiv:2611.01893v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Domain skew challenges federated learning by requiring a shared model to accommodate distinct visual distributions. Domain-specific experts can capture these distributions separately, creating an opportunity to integrate their representations in a unified predictor. We propose Federated Knowledge-Preserving Learning (FKPL), a two-stage framework that combines domain-oriented expert training with prototype-based classifier calibration. First, a one-shot subspace-based clustering procedure groups clients for intra-cluster training. The resulting expert encoders are concatenated and frozen, preserving each learned feature mapping during global integration. Second, clients interpolate their concatenated features with class-matched domain prototypes and upload the resulting virtual features. The server trains a global linear classifier on these features, concentrating classifier optimization at the server after a single feature upload. FKPL achieves average accuracies of 73.01\%, 67.00\%, and 64.51\% on Office-Caltech-10, PACS, and a four-domain subset of DomainNet, respectively. On DomainNet, its cross-domain standard deviation is 7.50 percentage points, the lowest among the evaluated methods. With the same concatenated extractor, prototype-based calibration improves average accuracy over federated classifier training by 9.99 and 14.94 percentage points on Office-Caltech-10 and PACS. These results identify classifier calibration as an effective way to combine preserved domain representations into a global predictor.
arXiv:2611.03826v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Next-visit diagnosis prediction forecasts the diagnoses documented at a patient's next encounter, turning retrospective electronic health records into prospective clinical prediction. However, conventional aggregate evaluation obscures its multifaceted nature: distributionally, models must handle variable-size diagnosis sets and long-tailed labels; temporally, they must distinguish persistent, newly recorded, and recurrent diagnoses; and both vary with observed history depth. We introduce an evaluation framework along these dimensions and apply it to rule-based heuristics, LLM-based prompting, retrieval, memory, and multi-agent approaches. This reveals that repeating the last visit outperforms most LLM-based approaches overall despite predicting no new or recurrent diagnoses, and that retrieval and memory exhibit distinct profiles whose relative strengths vary across temporal transitions and backbones. Motivated by this, we propose LONGINUS, a retrieval-memory multi-agent adjudication framework combining evidence retrieved from patient records with structured memory of the patient trajectory. Using cross-view agreement as a reliability heuristic, it preserves shared predictions and adjudicates disagreements without revealing their source. Across MIMIC-III and MIMIC-IV with four LLM backbones, LONGINUS achieves the best transition-specific performance among LLM-based methods in nearly all settings while remaining competitive with them on aggregate metrics.
